If so, you should check out our half-marathon winner Luke Greer’s time, marvel at 12-year-old Rose Tannasee blasting to victory in the three-miler, and revel in the memories of thousands of runners and spectators enjoying a fantastic day out.
This year’s Amazing Northampton Run was a huge success, topped off by a barnstorming performance from Luke who broke the course record by winning in one hour, seven minutes and seven seconds.
Rose won the three-miler in 21 minutes and 42 seconds, while Katie Godof took first place in the women’s race and Clowne Road Runners were our relay victors.
This was the third year since we moved to our town centre event, and each year we’ve tweaked the event and course to improve your experience.
This time around we were able to start and finish the race at the historic, revamped Market Square, while we also unveiled our very own Amazing Northampton Beer – in partnership with Phipps Brewery.
For many people, getting to the start line is a huge success and it was great to see so many people smash their personal goals, whether they finished in just over an hour or more than three.
We were delighted to welcome elite Kenyan athlete Philip Kipkemoi Kiprono to Northampton. Philip has previously won half-marathons in Vancouver, where he clocked one hour, seven minutes and 43 seconds in 2021, and Guangzhou, China last year.
Unfortunately, Philip picked up an injury in the early stage of this year’s race and had to drop out, but he has promised he will be returning next year and even sent us the message, “Amazing Northampton, Amazing people!”
There was also a visit from YouTuber Tim Stent, aka The Middle Aged Running Man, who took part in our relay and produced this hilarious video.
Finally, I want to talk about our brilliant partners, Rutland Medical Solutions. Some of you may have seen two of our half-marathon runners receiving medical treatment on the course due to cardiac issues.
It can be very harrowing to see fellow runners in such situations, but the good news is that both these men are recovering well. I have spoken to them and they are in good spirits.
We are all very thankful for the medical attention they received from Rutland Medical Solutions. There is a lot that goes into organising an event like The Amazing Northampton Run, but one thing we will never cut corners on is the quality of the medical care on hand.
Thank you again to everyone, especially our fantastic volunteers, who helped make The Amazing Northampton Run 2025 such an incredible event.
