When it comes to posting about our race winners, the first thing I like to mention is that EVERYONE who completed one of our events is a WINNER.
For many people, getting to the start line is success in it’s own right and whether you finish in just over an hour or more than three, finishing a half-marathon is a wonderful achievement.
We also saw amazing performances across the board in our relay and three mile events.
With more than 1,200 runners taking part in the half-marathon, a further 116 in the three-miler, and 41 teams in the relay, it was a fantastic day all round with so many spectacular finishes.
That said, we also like to celebrate those runners who made the podium. This year that included a spectacular performance by half-marathon winner, Luke Greer.
Luke finished in an incredible one hour, seven minutes and seven seconds to smash the course record.
The women’s half-marathon was won by Katie Godof in one hour, 22 minutes and 57 seconds, while 12-year-old Rose Tannasee won the three-miler in a mind-blowing 21 minutes and 42 seconds – keep an eye out for the name!
The relay was won by Clowne Road Runners in one hour, 17 minutes and 18 seconds.
Here are the 1, 2, 3’s in each race..
