It’s almost time to try and Beat The Sunset again!

Our super speedy road race is set to return on Sunday, July 27, starting at 7pm.

This 5km event is always great fun and attracts runners from a host of different clubs – we had 24 last year! – as well as many unaffiliated runners.

A go-all-out-race on flat, closed roads, this event provides the perfect opportunity to, erm.. beat the sunset (and potentially collect a PB)!

We’re hoping for another beautiful summer evening for the race, although with a bit of luck it won’t be too hot, so be sure to get your entry in quickly.

Entrants meet at Targetcraft Archery at West Lodge Rural Centre in Desborough for what is one of those rare runs where event directors are unusually kind to runners. Why? Because it finishes with a fast 700m downhill section!

With free parking and toilets available, and entry costing as little as £15 it’s no wonder this is one of Northamptonshire’s favourite events.
