Who we are
Go Beyond Challenge was founded in 2008 and purchased in 2018 by Simon Hollis — a former Infantry Soldier and passionate ultra-marathon runner who is, quite literally, living the dream.
After leaving military service, Simon built a career in management, including over eight years as a health and sports club manager. Running began modestly with 10Ks, but quickly escalated to the 100K London to Brighton as his first ultra. Since then Simon has completed 17 ultras, among them some of the world's most gruelling: Marathon Des Sables, the Amazon Jungle Ultra, the first-ever For Rangers Ultra in Kenya, and in 2017 he became the first Englishman to complete the High Fives at the Great Himalayan Running Festival in India — crossing the second-highest road pass in the world at 17,500 feet.
So you can see — this really is the only job for him.

What drives us
Volunteers & community
Our marshals are the heart and soul of every event — none of which could happen without their hard work and dedication. They cheer athletes on and make sure everyone finishes safely. We've been fortunate to build a fantastic pool of volunteers, and we're always on the lookout for more.

We also partner with local running clubs and groups to encourage more people into the outdoor life — because we know the benefits are endless. Come and join us, take your fitness to a new level, and why not raise money for a great cause at the same time.
