Last weekend’s Country to Capital Ultra returned with a bang as winner Kallum Pritchard smashed the course record by a whopping 11 minutes.
On a mostly dry day, with frost underfoot, Kallum made the conditions work to his advantage by romping home in an impressive four hours, 45 minutes and 17 seconds.
Indeed, all of our first three finishers came in under five hours.
Can you do better? Or beat all your expectations by taking place in one of the best ultra races around? If so, the date for your diary is January 10, 2026.
This year’s event was the seventeenth edition of Country to Capital. The 43-mile race has taken place every year since 2009, even beating the Covid cancellations of 2020 to put on a later-in-the-year race.
Starting at Wendover’s Shoulder of Mutton Pub, the run travelled across the Buckinghamshire countryside, through the well-heeled streets of Denham and along the Grand Union Canal before finishing at the Stowe Centre next to the Little Venice Canal in London.
It’s a really popular event, with so many people pushing themselves to the limit and achieving incredible results.
