It’s been three weeks since we held our inaugural Going Round in Circles run in London – and I’m still buzzing from it.
So much so that the plan is to extend this ‘running sportive concept’ into Northamptonshire, as well as other tube lines in the capital.
For those who don’t know, Going Round in Circles saw participants run between every underground station on the London Underground’s Circle Line – all 27 of them.
The only rule was that runners needed to take a selfie at each tube station. It was a really, relaxed fun event with people running in teams or individually, taking in the sights and sounds of the capital and just enjoying themselves.
As I said to people after the event, we’ll definitely be back ‘Going Round in Circles’ again next year, and, who knows, perhaps beyond. The Circle Line is only one part of the underground network, so there are plenty of other routes to explore.
And I am also really keen to bring the idea to Northamptonshire, whether that be a tour of the historic parts of our towns, country parks throughout the county, or as a pop-up event.
I’d love to know what you think of the idea, and if there are any particular spots in the county you’d like to explore more of? Let me know by emailing admin@gobeyondchallenge.co.uk
