And that’s that, day five complete.
Simply being in Nepal, let alone running 123 miles across five days like our Capital to Country competitors, is a life-changing experience.
This is such a beautiful and spiritual country, where during the three occasions I’ve been lucky enough to come here for this race I’ve met some amazing people.
That includes not only our brilliant band of runners, but all the friendly and welcoming Nepalese we have met along the way.
So many memories and good friendships have been forged in the foothills of the Himalayas, and it has been a great effort from every single person on the trip to make it such a success.
We enjoyed stunning views of snow-capped mountains, sun that was sometimes bordering on the too hot, chilly mornings, and camping under the watchful eyes of a grand hotel.
But that’s what makes these events an adventure, isn’t it?
And Capital to Country is undoubtedly that.
When the dust settles, we’ll have more details about this year’s event and how you can get involved in the future in our newsletter, Facebook page and on this blog.
But for now, we have some time to enjoy Nepal, and take in the sights and sounds of this wonderful country.
Yes. That’s that. But it will remain with us forever.
