Our superhuman runners started day two of our Capital to Country Multi-Day Ultra by climbing out of the valley where we had camped the night before.
After a cool, damp start the temperature crept upwards on what was to be a crazy day of urban running, with cleared landslides and roadworks adding to the fun.
Along the way, the runners even managed to make a new friend!
They were joined by a local dog who ran 30km of with them. The happy hound is now enjoying a well deserved bone!
Everyone ran together towards today’s finish, with Louise and Richard coming in 15 minutes ahead of Avi and Matt.
Tonight’s campsite is at the glorious sounding Katumba Resort… we, however, are camping in their car park.
Tomorrow is the much anticipated longest day, with 30 miles awaiting our intrepid explorers. See you then!
We’ll be keeping you up date with the adventure here, as well as on our Facebook and Instagram pages – with plenty more breathtaking photography from our intrepid photographer Adrian Howes, who will be taking to the back of a motorbike to capture some amazing images along the way.
